Arris bridge mode - takes 7 days to turn off homespot?

Hi everyone,

I did my due diligence and researched where to turn on the bridge mode. However, after getting my new Ubiquiti Unifi gear hooked up and configured, I was a bit surprised that it takes 7 days to turn off the homespot.

Is there a way to speed this up? This seems unrealistic to me. :shock:

Pretty sure this is on purpose. Technically it could probably be disable in seconds.

Not sure if you can call anyone at Vodafone to have it sped up.
Others in this forum may know.

Waiting for this myself right now :)

It's very simple: The 7 days is the notice period for the cancellation of the HomeSpot Service option.

Ah ha... 7 days notice period. Well that explains a lot. The homespot was included for free in my case. I was never going to use it and it was enabled by default. Had I known it would have been an issue like this, I would have had them not order it.

Oh well... just 5 more days to wait. I'm bouncing back and forth from my Unifi gear to my Telekom router (still have 12 months of Telekom DSL) depending on the stuff I need to run. Such a pain. But, in a few days this will smooth over.

Es geht auch schneller, wenn man sich direkt per PN an den Vodafone 24h Kundenservice auf Facebook wendet wendet.

Bei mir war der Arris Router dann bis zum Vormittag des Folgetages in den Bridgemodus geschaltet.

P.S. Die Antwortzeiten sind hoch, da die Anfragequeue vermutlich riesig ist... und man muss einige Daten (Name, Kd.-Nr.) in die PN im Messenger packen um vom Automaten an einen Mitarbeiter weitergeleitet zu werden:
